Highland Council is hosting a consultation event for the Regenerating Inverness City Centre (RICC) Townscape Heritage project.
The Townscape Heritage (TH) project for Inverness focuses very closely on the key city gateway and historic thoroughfare of Academy Street in the City Centre.
Currently in the development phase the TH project aims to improve the quality of life for those who live, work or visit Academy Street.
This consultation event is an exciting opportunity for you to get involved and shape the project. There will be exhibition displays and presentations from the project team, detailing how other TH projects have delivered successful regeneration and what might be possible for Academy Street. However most importantly we want to hear from you and what you would like to see delivered by this TH project.
The event will be held at the Iron Works on Academy Street on Thursday 22nd Jan, the programme is as follows:
- 12.30 – 2pm Light refreshments and presentations from the project team covering:
- Preserving and enhancing the character of Academy Street
- Repairing and restoring authentic details
- Employability
- Training opportunities
- Wider engagement in the Heritage of Academy Street
- Place making
- 2pm – 5pm Public drop in session
- 5.30 – 7pm Light refreshments and presentations from the project team covering:
- Preserving and enhancing the character of Academy Street
- Repairing and resorting authentic details
- Employability
- Training opportunities
- Wider engagement in the Heritage of Academy Street
- Place making
- 8pm Close
